A QUIET FLAME:THE NEW BERNIE GUNTHER

There are some new reviews posted on Euro Crime by the hard working Karen. The newish side bar with lists of Crime in translation and Amazon.uk lists of translated crime fiction make this site an even more valuable resource.

And you can read my review of Philip Kerr's A Quiet Flame, the fifth in the Bernie Gunther series at:
A compelling and harrowing novel about a uniquely terrible period in world history.

Norm, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your review on Euro Crime last night (Sunday), just before I logged off. It is an excellent review: not only was it a good indication of the book, but the reader learnt a lot from your evident expertise on the subject. Well done to you -- I trust the publisher will be using extracts of your article in its publicity material to promote the book.

Maxine, if I was not an old retired man I would use your comments as a reference. I have just returned from a long day of meetings [re Blackerton] and was exhausted but your very kind comments have made my day.
Thank you very much.
